A fertile soil is able to provide all the major and trace element nutrients to the plant in a balanced, sustainable way to achieve maximum productivity and quality. There are soils however that due to acid or high pH, soil type, poor soil structure, salinity or low organic carbon content, are deficient in some trace elements and major elements. These problem soils are treated by applying the deficient elements to the soil or through the highly efficient foliar route to boost the deficient element in the plant.

Western Fertiliser Technology Pty Ltd has introduced the Grain Analysis System (see Publications and Nutrition Management) for farmers, which analyse the harvested grain to reveal its nutrient status. The deficient nutrients are identified and are then boosted with our Soil & Foliar products to target the deficiency during the growing season. The Single Trace Element products can also be used in conjunction with other complete products such as SUPER ENERGY, SUPER LIQUID NPK, NPK SUPREME etc. to boost that particular deficient element. When any of the major elements N P K Ca Mg and S are deficient, our strategy is to include together other elements plus trace elements to improve synergism and uptake for increased productivity and quality.
