BIG-CAL and BIG-MAG are ideally partnered products to use conveniently for productivity for all crops, fruit trees, forests and plantations. They are best applied by the deep placement method for trees, introduced by Western Fertiliser Technology Pty Ltd (Current Topics page, Dec.6, 2020). Advantages of deep placement are: less weeds, less risk of wash-away by rain, quicker response, improved water-use efficiency, improved nutrient-use efficiency for economy, fewer applications and higher yields and quality of produce.

Rates and Timing of Applications:
Crops: Apply Big-Cal and Big-Mag alternately and separately 1 - 2 weeks apart at early growth stage and 6 weeks before harvest. Dilute 20 litres with 30 litres water for each hectare and apply with a boom sprayer (Fertiblend 900 boom sprayer) . The rates and timing are the same for application through fertigation.

Trees with deep placement: As in Current Topics, Dec.6, 2020, apply using the deep placement method 3 feet from the trunk of the tree in the North and South or East and West direction. Using a measure and funnel apply 100 to 150 mls of each product, undiluted, one after the other, into the hole and cover with soil. Apply once, or twice each year for best results. All other products listed on our Products page can also be used with the deep placement method for quick, effective results.
